Beeb’s is all about having the best product and delivering it in the best way.

We are artists and designers. We decided to bring Juniper home during a time when we would both be at home for a few weeks, thinking that once we put in that time and attention, it would be easy sailing. Wanting to give Jeremy more time for his artwork, Juliette then started a new intense consulting job that required traveling almost every week. Our new puppy, who had zero interest in pleasing us, had us wrapped around her paw. Jeremy went from one trainer to the next. We learned some things from them for sure, but more importantly, we discovered the one magic treat that we could give her all the time and that she actually paid attention to: lamb lung.

A year later, we had a dog that was a delight. The new job had Juliette questioning everything about how we decide what we are going to bring into the world, especially now. We talked for months about what would be the happiest thing we could do. Making dogs and their owners happy together turned out to be that thing. Jeremy was already walking Juniper around the city sharing lamb lung treats out of a paper tube he kept in his pocket. We talked seriously about starting Beeb’s.

We then did our research on packaging and warehousing. We couldn’t bring ourselves to buy thousands of plastic pouches for our first run. We couldn’t feel good about that happiness if it meant having our treats sit in plastic packages in hot warehouses, then go to people’s homes and eventually end up in the landfill. We already liked the sustainability and resourcefulness of using organ meats that would otherwise also be thrown away, and wanted to take that same attitude towards our packaging. We took up the challenge of being plastic-free. 

But we found that for a lot of plastic-free brands we bought, the product was just not that good. We didn’t want to do that. Beeb’s lamb lung is from New Zealand, which produces the highest quality grass-fed lamb in the world. Unlike other lamb lung treats we have tried, Beeb’s has a low odor (for humans anyway), isn’t oily, isn’t sticky, and breaks easily without crumbling.

Beeb’s lamb lung is sliced and gently baked, making it dry but free of pathogens. We then break it up into perfectly sized pieces before sending it to our customers in plastic-free bags and tubes. Baking and breaking up the treats produces the safest treat with the lowest amount of processing, making it extra easy on the stomach and giving pet parents peace of mind with older dogs and small puppies.

As Beeb’s grows, we promise to stand by these principles. We will always use the highest quality products. The experience of pets and their owners will always be our north star. And we will always source our ingredients and design our packaging so that we can have the highest level of happiness and resourcefulness possible in this world.
